September Rockwall Mountain Trip
Join Edmonton Trail Community on Sunday, September 5th AT 8AM AT THE PAINT POTS PARKING LOT for our 6th annual Rockwall Trail Adventure.
The Rockwall Trail is a fan favourite. The longest distance includes three major passes, several waterfalls, glaciers, alpine lakes and of course the famous Rockwall itself.
NEW!! Out 'n Back! Join Sheryl (or go your own pace) for a 26-kilometre hike from the Floe Lake parking lot, climbing numerous switchbacks through fields of flowers and ascending Numa Pass, then heading down to Floe Lake before heading back down the switchbacks to the parking lot.
Point To Point Options! The Long and Short (point to point) mountain excursion is challenging and should not be attempted by anyone who is new to technical trails with elevation. You must be able to move quickly for at least 8-12 hours self-supported. There will be maps for each participant with an explanation at the start of critical turns (only one). Experienced athletes will be participating in each distance.

STAYING OVERNIGHT
Generally, folks come the night before because of the long drive and the early start. Look for Saturday night camping sites nearby, or check out accommodations in Banff or Radium or at Kootenay Lodge. Some folks dirtbag it at the parking lot, your choice.
Carpooling options available.
