June Backpacking Clinic II
Join our new backpacking clinic, designed to give you the skills you need to get out in the back country confidently and safely.
The first part of each weekly session will teach essential skills like pitching a tent, building a fire, navigating creek crossings, and packing the right gear.
The second part of each weekly session will build backpacking fitness with a technical trek in Edmonton's river valley.
We are COVID-compliant, max ten participants, distancing required, masks supported.
REQUIREMENTS: A good attitude and a sense of adventure.
DATE: Every Thursday for 4 weeks (June 3, 10, 17, 24)
TIME: 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
LOCATION: Varied throughout city
ABOUT THE COACHES:
Lisa and Dan are experienced through-packers. Their most significant trip was in 2017 when they backpacked the 4270-kilometre Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada. They are skilled guides, passionate about showing others how to experience back-country adventures.
